Light and Lacy is Shabby Chic inspired design with a light and airy feel decorated with fanciful, stylized flowers on a soft pinkish flesh tone background with soft mottled shading and highlighting. A whimsical flower in peach and pink creates the focal area, surrounded by playful leaves, small daisies, lilac clusters and soft white filler flowers. The scalloped tray is trimmed with lacy whitewashed heart shapes with cross-hatching and embellished with flowers and stroke work. Techniques include working with washes, side-loading, strokes and linework.
