This design began as a study in painting folk art roses. I love to paint roses and there are so many folk art styles from which to choose! These roses were inspired by the Tolz rose seen in some Bavarian paintings and similar roses are found in Swedish Dala painting designs. I have taken the liberty of adapting it and making it my own with a contemporary twist using complimentary colors and delicate details.

Seminar Information: This would be an all day class. I like to teach it as a design class where focus is learning to paint all the elements in the design and learning to arrange them to fit any surface.
